Our House Decaf coffee comes to you from Mexico. It is decaffeinated through a “sugar cane” process, which involves using cane sugar and ethyl acetate as catalysts for decaffeination. Ethyl acetate is a naturally derived substance that can be distilled from local fruits. This process allows producers to save cost and lower the carbon footprint of their decaffeination, as most coffee must be sent to overseas decaffeination facilities. Because this process uses much lower heat and pressure, it allows the roaster to work with a much higher quality coffee and gives you a great tasting cup!
